029. Adult Ash & Adult Misty

This is the fortieth submission for my attempt at looneytunerian's Pokeshipping 100 Theme Challenge.

29. Adult Ash & Adult Misty
For the longest time, I didn't know what to draw for this theme. I originally thought of drawing Ash & Misty in the midst of dressing up for a formal event, and then I added a bit where Ash would be giving Misty a necklace while they were getting dressed up, and then I went a different route with Misty grabbing Ash by his collar wearing a hard-to-define expression on her face and Ash looking as if he might be throttled right there and then... and then we came to this.

I know it probably isn't as extravagant as it could be, and there's very little change from their already existing clothes (Misty's yellow sweat jacket, and Ash's black and red fingerless gloves, for example) but I'm not at all distressed by my choices. I mean, the only thing I'm hoping is that you guys think Ash and Misty do look aged. That's the most important thing, right?

I think what took a lot of my focus was drawing Pikachu. Looking at my previous theme choice, I'm actually very disappointed in myself with how I drew Pikachu then. He looks nothing like his anime appearance or even any other appearance (game or otherwise), so I tried to rectify that here. I'm still not completely satisfied with how he turned out - the ears are too long - but he definitely looks more like Pikachu than last theme's. And that I am thankful for. :)

Oh yeah, and stick around because I'm going to be uploading a couple more themes that I got done over the past few days! :)
