Nerewethil (The Maiden of Forsaking Fire)

So, a little over a week ago, LylyRin and I began a little drawing prompt based on a post on Tumblr. The prompt went something like this: "You and a friend both create an original character each. Neither of you reveal the characters to each other until both are complete and regardless of what you've created, those 2 characters are to be a couple."
Now, technically, I reblogged that post some months ago last year and LylyRin had almost immediately contacted me about it and said we should do it. I said yes... and then life happened and we kind of forgot about the whole thing until the beginning of this month. ^_^;; He was able to get 3 complete drawings done within that week-ish time while I... Well, I took a little longer since life and Gaia Online commissions. Thankfully, though, I got my character finished and made up to look presentable. So, here is my original character (based in Middle Earth), Nerewerthil!

She is an Elf from Rivendell, somewhere thousands of years old, and a skilled warrior! In fact, I'll just post the information I made up for her.

Age: Looks no older than 1500 years but possibly thousands of years old
Hometown: Rivendell
Father Name: Gaeariel (Daughter of the Great Sea)
Mother Name: Halvien (Daughter of the Seashell)
Self Name: Maeneth (Skilled/Clever Teenage Girl)
After Name: Nerewerthil (Maiden of Forsaking Fire)
Hair: Dark dark brown, almost black
Eyes: Grey
Skin: Fair
Clothes:
Casual/Home: Sea/Sky blues and beige
Battle: Silver/Grey (like all Rivendell soldiers)
Travel: Greyish-browns and greens (whatever camouflages the best)
Height: 6'
Dominant Hand: Left
Personality: Determined, Dutiful, Confident, Calm, Hopeful, Optimistic, Brave, Elegant, Understanding, Somewhat Adventurous, Subtly Charming, Resourceful
Background: She was born in Rivendell to non-royal parents during the Second Age. They had fought in the war against Sauron when she was still too young and inexperienced to take part. Seeing her parents fight bravely for their people, and the alliance of Men and Elves, Maeneth decided to stay on Middle-Earth once her parents made plans to sail to Valinor with many others. They objected to the idea and fought her every day till their departure. This caused a strain on their relationship with her, and so Maeneth was not present to watch them sail to Valinor.
After the loss of her parents, so to speak, she dedicated herself to training for battle. She was sure that Sauron's defeat would not be the last war Middle-Earth would see. Over the course of her centuries, she has become adept with bow and sword alike (as well as a couple of hand-to-hand combat moves). She takes great pride in her prowess and will take on anyone who dares question her abilities, especially those who deem her weaker only due to her sex. She meets her melethenin during the Third Age (specifically around Bilbo's journey to Erebor).

The reason why we created a Middle Earth couple instead of completely original 'within our own world' characters is because I've been on a Hobbit kick since January 4 this year. Which may or may not be the date of when I saw The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. >_>;; So anyway, because of my kick I suggested the Middle Earth factor and he said yes, and here we are. I'm not super knowledgeable about Tolkien's works and the details of Middle Earth (let alone Arda); so if any of the information here is inaccurate, you'll know why and anyone who wants to correct me on the inaccurate stuff is more than welcome to do so. I honestly have very little knowledge on what I'm doing. (Even moreso with Sindarin language. What is the word for an elf's beloved when referring to both in the third person? I don't even know and just took 'melethenin' from a Tumblr user who is exceptionally knowledgeable in Sindarin.)

If/When I draw anymore of her (especially with her meleth(?)), I will post it. I just need to figure out how and what. ^_^;;
