97. Burned
So, despite the fact that I'm a giant goofball (when I want to be), especially when I'm working on this theme challenge, I do enjoy my serious stuff. And that's where the interpretation for this theme comes into play. Since a bunch of the last themes (the ones numbered in the 90s, mind you) are all damage-effect themes (does that even make sense?), I thought it would be a bit monotonous to do them all as "WACKY-CARTOON-VIOLENCE-WHEE!" Even if I did separate them between other themes. ^^;
So, to summarize my brain-vomit-phrased explanation: I thought it would be boring to draw #92-99 as all cartoon violence and decided to make this and a couple others more dramatic and serious. That's why you're not laughing at a theme called "Burned," because I am a terrible horrible person who wants to see others in pain. Even my favorite character. 8D
Speaking about that, her hand looks severely burned, doesn't it? Like, the kind of burn you can't just put some ointment on, wrap a bandage over, and hope it looks better in the morning. As in 2nd or 3rd degree. Ash, what in the sam hill are you doing?! Get one of your mutant birds to fly Misty to a hospital for chrissake! That crap will get infected if you do not have a licensed physician to examine it, and I don't think you'll be wanting Misty to get gangreen, do you?! Geez, boy, it's like you don't have a--oh wait... D: O-okay, y'know what? I think I'll just take Misty to the hospital. We'll all have a better chance of coming out unscathed if we don't rely on you for the big stuff, no offense. Yeah, I-I think that would be best.
